Landscaping Business Software: Prices You Can Verify
Published ServiceM8 and LMN plan prices for landscaping crews, with per-user and per-job math worked out from vendor pricing pages.
ServiceM8 publishes five tiers from $0/mo to $349/mo, priced by monthly job volume with unlimited users on every paid plan. LMN publishes two flat monthly prices, $297/mo and $648/mo, built around bundled license counts rather than per-seat fees, plus an Enterprise tier that requires a sales call. Both companies post these numbers on their own pricing pages.
ServiceM8 plans and what they include
ServiceM8 prices its plans by job volume, not user count. Every paid tier includes unlimited users, which changes the per-user math significantly as a crew grows.

| Plan | Price | Users | Jobs per month | AI uses per day |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0/mo | 1 | 30 | 10 per day |
| Starter | $29/mo | Unlimited | 50 | Unlimited |
| Growing | $79/mo | Unlimited | 150 | Unlimited |
| Premium | $149/mo | Unlimited | 500 | Unlimited |
| Premium Plus | $349/mo | Unlimited | 1,500+ | Unlimited |

On the Free plan, ServiceM8 charges 10 cents per SMS; on every paid plan, texting is listed as free. On Premium Plus, jobs beyond the 1,500 included cost 20 cents each. ServiceM8 Phone, a separate add-on, is listed as starting “From $19/mo” on every plan tier, billed at a single flat rate per business rather than per user.
Per-user cost as a crew grows
Because ServiceM8’s paid plans include unlimited users, the per-user cost drops as headcount rises. Using the Starter plan ($29/mo):
- 1 user: $29.00/user
- 3 users: $9.67/user
- 5 users: $5.80/user
- 8 users: $3.63/user
Using the Growing plan ($79/mo, 150 jobs/mo):
- 1 user: $79.00/user
- 3 users: $26.33/user
- 5 users: $15.80/user
- 8 users: $9.88/user
The constraint on ServiceM8’s paid plans is jobs per month, not seats. A five-person crew running more than 50 jobs a month on the Starter plan would need to move to Growing at $79/mo, or pay 20 cents per additional job only once on the Premium Plus tier — the two middle tiers (Growing, Premium) have no published overage rate for extra jobs.
Annual totals and the cost-per-job math
Multiplying each ServiceM8 tier by 12 shows the full-year commitment: Free stays at $0/year, Starter comes to $348/year, Growing to $948/year, Premium to $1,788/year, and Premium Plus to $4,188/year. Framed as a cost-per-included-job at full capacity, Starter works out to $0.58 per job ($29 ÷ 50 jobs), Growing to about $0.53 per job ($79 ÷ 150 jobs), Premium to about $0.30 per job ($149 ÷ 500 jobs), and Premium Plus to roughly $0.23 per job ($349 ÷ 1,500 jobs). That declining per-job rate is the clearest signal for when an upgrade pays for itself: a crew consistently maxing out Starter’s 50-job ceiling is already paying more per job than it would on Growing, even before counting the risk of hitting the cap mid-month with no published overage rate to fall back on.
LMN plans and what they include
LMN sells landscaping management software in bundled license packs rather than a flat per-seat rate. Both listed plans require a one-time onboarding fee on top of the monthly price.
| Plan | Starting price | Included licenses | Who it’s for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $297/mo* | 1 office/crew lead + 5 crew member (6 total) | Companies with under 10 employees |
| Professional | $648/mo* | 3 office/crew lead + 15 crew member (18 total) | Companies with 10+ employees |
| Enterprise | Contact sales | Starts at 100 users | Multi-location companies |

Cost per license
Doing the division the vendor doesn’t do for you:
- Starter: $297 / 6 licenses = $49.50 per license/mo, if you use all 6 seats
- Professional: $648 / 18 licenses = $36.00 per license/mo, if you use all 18 seats
If a company only staffs 3 of the 6 Starter licenses, the effective cost per active user rises to $99/mo. LMN’s page states additional licenses beyond the bundle are “available for a fee,” but does not publish that per-license add-on rate, so it cannot be included here.
Annualized before onboarding fees, Starter comes to $3,564/year ($297 × 12) and Professional comes to $7,776/year ($648 × 12). Spread across full seat usage, that’s $594 per license per year on Starter and $432 per license per year on Professional — meaning the larger bundle is roughly 27% cheaper per seat annually, but only if a company actually has 18 people to license. A landscaping business with, say, 10 employees split across Starter’s 6-seat cap would either pay for licenses it isn’t using or need to ask LMN about the unpublished add-on rate to cover the gap to Professional’s 18 seats.
SMS add-on pricing
LMN’s SMS customer messaging is priced separately from the base plan:
- Starter: available as an add-on, $75 one-time fee + $30/mo
- Professional: 500 SMS/mo included, $0.06 per additional SMS
- Enterprise: 2,000 SMS/mo included, $0.06 per additional SMS
At 1,000 SMS in a month on Professional, that’s 500 included plus 500 × $0.06 = $30 in overage, on top of the $648/mo base. On Starter, the SMS add-on’s $30/mo flat fee means it breaks even against Professional’s per-message overage rate at 500 extra texts a month ($30 ÷ $0.06 = 500) — below that volume, Starter’s flat add-on costs more per message than Professional’s metered rate would.
Head-to-head: what $300–650/mo actually buys
| ServiceM8 (comparable spend) | LMN | |
|---|---|---|
| ~$300/mo | Premium Plus at $349/mo: unlimited users, 1,500+ jobs/mo | Starter at $297/mo: 6 licenses |
| ~$650/mo | No single ServiceM8 plan reaches this price point; Premium Plus at $349/mo is the top flat-rate tier | Professional at $648/mo: 18 licenses |

At roughly the same monthly spend, ServiceM8’s model buys job-volume headroom with unlimited seats, while LMN’s model buys a fixed license count. Which is cheaper depends entirely on whether the constraint on your business is job throughput or headcount — a two-truck crew doing high job volume fits ServiceM8’s structure; a growing office-plus-field operation with named users per license fits LMN’s structure. Neither vendor publishes a number that lets you convert directly between the two models, so this is a structural comparison, not a price-per-price one. Put in annual terms, the widest published gap runs from ServiceM8 Starter’s $348/year up to LMN Professional’s $7,776/year before onboarding — a range wide enough that the right choice comes down to whether jobs-per-month or seats-per-month is the actual bottleneck for a given crew.
What could not be verified
Every vendor listed above published a base price. Two details referenced on these pages could not be verified with a number:
- LMN Enterprise pricing is not published. The page states it “starts at 100 users” and directs buyers to “contact sales for pricing.” No dollar figure appears anywhere on the page for this tier.
- LMN additional license fees beyond the bundled counts (6 for Starter, 18 for Professional) are described only as “available for a fee,” with no rate given.
- Greenius (LMN’s training add-on) is listed as “available as add-on” on every LMN plan, but no price for it appears on the pricing page supplied here.
No vendors in this comparison were entirely unverifiable; both ServiceM8 and LMN publish at least partial flat-rate pricing.
Before you buy
- Confirm job volume, not just headcount, on ServiceM8. The Starter and Growing tiers have hard job-per-month ceilings (50 and 150 respectively) with no stated overage rate between them — check your actual monthly job count against the tier before committing.
- Count your seats against LMN’s bundles. A 6-license Starter plan or an 18-license Professional plan only pencils out to the advertised per-license cost if you’re using every seat. Ask LMN directly for the per-seat add-on rate before assuming you can scale past the bundle cheaply.
- Ask about the LMN onboarding fee amount. The pricing page confirms a one-time onboarding fee applies on top of the monthly rate but does not state the amount.
- Get an Enterprise quote in writing before comparing it to competitors’ flat rates, since LMN Enterprise has no published price and starts at a 100-user minimum.
- Check payroll and worker classification rules if you’re deciding how many licensed users versus subcontractors to run through either platform; the U.S. Department of Labor and IRS publish the current federal standards at dol.gov and irs.gov.

Common questions
- What does ServiceM8 cost for a landscaping crew of five?
- ServiceM8's Starter plan is $29/mo for unlimited users and 50 jobs per month, so a five-person crew pays the same $29/mo as a solo operator, working out to $5.80 per user. Annualized, that's $348/year for the whole crew regardless of headcount, or $69.60 per user per year if all five stay active. If the crew needs more than 50 jobs a month, the $79/mo Growing plan covers 150 jobs at no extra per-user cost, per servicem8.com/us/pricing.
- What does LMN cost for a small landscaping company?
- LMN Starter is listed starting at $297/mo and includes 1 office/crew lead license plus 5 crew member licenses (6 seats total), after a one-time onboarding fee. That works out to roughly $49.50 per license per month at full seat usage, per golmn.com/pricing. Annualized before onboarding, $297/mo comes to $3,564/year, or about $594 per license per year if all 6 seats are staffed. Using only 3 of the 6 seats doubles the effective per-license cost to roughly $99/mo, since the $297 base doesn't shrink with fewer active users.
- Does ServiceM8 charge extra for text messages?
- On the Free plan, ServiceM8 charges 10 cents per SMS. On the Starter, Growing, Premium and Premium Plus plans, SMS is listed as free, per the ServiceM8 pricing page. Doing the math on when that matters: at 10 cents per text, a business would need to send close to 290 SMS in a month on the Free plan before the cost of texting alone matched the $29/mo Starter price, which includes unlimited messaging. LMN sells SMS as a separate add-on with its own monthly allowance and per-message overage.
- Can I get LMN Enterprise pricing without contacting sales?
- No. LMN Enterprise is listed as starting at 100 users with pricing available only by contacting LMN's sales team, according to golmn.com/pricing. Starter and Professional plans show flat monthly prices; Enterprise does not. The closest published anchor is the Professional tier at $648/mo for 18 licenses, or $36 per license per month — Enterprise's 100-user minimum would need to land near or below that per-license rate to look competitive on a per-seat basis, but LMN does not confirm this publicly, so it can't be verified either way.
- Which plan is cheaper for a crew of three?
- For a three-person landscaping business, ServiceM8 Starter at $29/mo (unlimited users, 50 jobs/mo) is the only published option under $300/mo. LMN's cheapest listed plan, Starter, starts at $297/mo and is built around a 6-license bundle rather than per-seat pricing, so a three-person crew would be paying for three unused licenses. Annualized, the gap is $348/year for ServiceM8 Starter versus $3,564/year for LMN Starter before its one-time onboarding fee — a difference of $3,216/year, though LMN's bundle has headroom to grow to 6 users at no added monthly cost, while ServiceM8's Starter tier is capped at 50 jobs/month regardless of crew size.
